Tips on the different versions

Standard: The VELLO Bike+ Automatic does not require an additional gear shift from 0-25 km/h, as the motor takes over this function.
Even gradients of 8-10% can be mastered effortlessly.
Speed-Drive: The VELLO Bike+ Automatic can be equipped with a Schlumpf Speed Drive for fast riding above 25 km/h with a comfortable cadence.
This ultra-flat planetary gear is located in the bottom bracket and has a gear ratio of 1:1.65.
Mountain Drive: For steep climbs of up to 17%, we recommend the Schlumpf Mountain Drive from Schlumpf (planetary gearbox in the bottom bracket) with a gear ratio of 2.5:1.

Safety pin

Only when you pull out this pin does the front wheel come off and you can fold up your Vello Bike without any problems.

The standard version of the VELLO Bike+ Automatic has no gears.
This is not needed at speeds between 0 – 25 km/h because the motor takes over this function.
It also allows you to effortlessly manage gradients of 8 – 10%.
So if you just want to cycle comfortably without having to think about it, this bike is the right choice.

However, if you definitely want to ride above 25 km/h or tackle steeper climbs with your VELLO, you should opt for the Speed Drive or Mountain Drive version.
