With the new VELLO Bike+ GEARS you have full control. With its manual gearshift – either with a 3-speed gearshift (standard) or the 6-speed (3×2) Schlumpf Drive (Speed or Mountain Drive), you have the ultimate gear variety and therefore remain flexible for all your adventures.

Tips on the different versions

To double the 3-speed derailleur to 6-speed (3×2), the VELLO Bike+ GEARS can be paired with a Speed Drive or Mountain Drive.
The Speed Drive offers a higher gear for flatter urban environments, while the Mountain Drive offers a super low gear alternative to the standard gearing, sufficient to tackle 17% gradients (gear ratio of 2.5:1).
For a more comfortable cadence at higher speeds, the ultra-flat planetary gearbox built into the bottom bracket with a gear ratio of 1:1.65 is recommended.

Safety pin

Only when you pull out this pin will the front wheel come off and you can fold up the VELLO.

Unlocking the rear section

A magnetic elastomer element makes it easy to lock and unlock the folding bike when it is folded.

Dismountable handlebars

To save space, you can easily dismantle the handlebars by opening the snap fasteners.

Full control in any terrain: With the VELLO Bike+ GEARS, the manual 3-speed gearbox (standard) or the 6-speed (3×2) Schlumpf Drive (Speed Drive or Mountain Drive), you have the ultimate gear variety and therefore remain flexible for all your adventures.

When you pedal backwards, the motor switches to regenerative braking, with the energy generated being fed back into the battery, increasing the already impressive range.

The all-in-one motor with hidden battery, 20“ tires and the rigid frame provide the necessary agility and enable a stable and natural riding experience, just like a classic bike. In contrast to the Bike+ AUTOMATIC with electronic, automatic gear shifting with tilt sensor, the VELLO Bike+ GEARS allows you to set the gears manually.
